About the Job:
We are looking to hire an European TMS Manager. The successful candidate will Drive, lead and manage the European TMS team to deliver a consistent service to meet the demand of the European Transport organization. Identify and implement efficiency gain for the European Transport organization through process and/or system optimization. Define, implement and monitor the European TMS strategy and roadmap for Transport Management Systems and applications within the TMS ecosystem in line with the overall RSSC IT strategy.

Team Management/Strategy:
• Lead and manage the EU RSSC IT TMS teams to operate as a motivated and engaged team.
• Set priorities for the team focus and manage resources to achieve goals and IT priorities.
• Deliver clear and timely communications to ensure team understanding of priorities and successes.
• Deliver effective performance management and development for all team members so that each individual achieves their full potential.
• Define, implement and monitor the European TMS strategy and roadmap for Transport Management Systems and applications within the TMS ecosystem in line with the overall RSSC IT strategy.
• P&L responsibility for the EU TMS budget.
• Liaises with RSSC IT management colleagues and BU stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.

Continuous Improvement:
• Seek opportunities to continually enhance and develop the IT TMS processes methodology and systems.
• Recommends cost optimizations in relation to the usage of TMS systems in Europe.

Project & Quality Management Office:
• Manages the aspects of projects and mitigates any risk.
• Reviews high-level deliverables from the team.
• Ensures engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures take place for all relevant TMS activities.
• Provides leadership to practice within EU area.
• Develops a timeline for the completion of certain milestones for a given project.
• Ensures procedures, knowledge base items, technical configuration, assets, …. are properly documented in line with EU TMS guidelines.

BAU support
• Ensure effective incident resolution according to SLA for TMS system incidents.
• Act as an escalation point for IT TMS system topics.
• Ensure effective delivery of TMS system requests within agreed budget and timeline.

QUALIFICATONS
REQUIRED LEVEL OF EDUCATION:
• Master's in information technology or relevant experience in the job

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
• Management of a team of (IT) professionals
• Proven experience with transport processes, projects and systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS :
• Profound knowledge of transport processes.
• Good understanding of EDI and interfaces.
• General understanding of IT processes and systems.
• Project management skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good communication skills in English both spoken as written.
• People management skills.
• Relationship and stakeholder management skills.
