We are currently seeking 2 reliable and motivated Warehouse Team Leaders to be based at our Panattoni Site, Northampton (NN7 4DE). You will be working on the Samsung contract (brown goods), which is an extension of our Wellingborough site operation, and there may be the occasional need to support the operation at our Wellingborough site, as required.

The salary for this role is £32,734.78 per annum with a £416 rotating shift allowance per annum.

From go-live due to commence on 1st July 2026, the shift pattern will be:

1st July – 15th September, 10:00 – 18:00 Monday - Friday
15th September – 15th January 2027, rotating 6:00 – 14:00, 14:00 – 22:00 Monday – Friday
15th January 2027, split shift to merge back into 10:00 – 18:00

(There will be some flexibility around dates)

The individuals in this position will ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse, focusing on inbound and outbound activities at the Panattoni site, on the Samsung Brown Goods Contract.

Main Responsibilities
• Oversee the effective running of the shift to ensure products are safely handled through all inbound and outbound processes, ensuring all company procedures are adhered to, to meet customer expectations.
• Ensure all goods are handled in the correct manner to ensure that damage to kept to a minimum and manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury and harm.
• Responsible for the smooth running of your designated shift, ensuring staff are briefed and managed in accordance with SOP’s and WI’s.
• Oversee employee relations procedures such as holiday authorisations to ensure sufficient levels of employees are available as required to meet operational demands, raising in a timely manner where additional staff are required either on a temporary or permanent basis.
• Carry out any other reasonable requests to support the effective running of the warehouse, including supporting other teams and shifts as necessary
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, taking appropriate action where procedures are not being adhered to or could be improved.
• Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, taking appropriate action to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Ensure that all MHE is used in an appropriate manner, identifying and arranging relevant training to ensure there are sufficient numbers of trained employees to meet business demands.
• Ensure all company procedures are adhered to, including ER procedures, such as absence and performance management, standards of behaviour, disciplinary, PDR etc, supporting with investigations and disciplinary hearings as necessary.
• Ensure that all business communications are effectively managed and shared with the team as appropriate.

Main skills & experience
• WMS experience, AS/400 Opus and SAP advantageous
• Ability to effectively deal with and resolve problems
• Previous experience of leading a team in a fast-moving warehouse operation and/or new operation set-up
• Awareness of manual handling techniques is an advantage
• A team player with a flexible, proactive attitude
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience of Team Leadership responsibilities including, shift briefings, health & safety initiatives, continuous improvement initiatives, absence management, daily task allocation, reporting, holiday approvals
• Desire to learn and develop self
