About the Job:
To provide implementation and support for Yusen’s regional strategic Transport Management System Carlo and other transport systems. Dealing with projects/requests/incidents across a European region. Supporting the TMS (Transport Management System) applications in the Yusen Logistics IT landscape. This can consist of new implementations, problem solving, training, changes or migration from a legacy system to a standard system.

RESPONSIBILITY AREA KEY ACTIVITES:

Solution Design, Delivery & Implementation:

• Evaluate internal/external customer needs & requirements
• Present proposed options
• Propose system configuration to meet requirements and agree functional specifications
• Translation of business owners’ requirements into functional and technical TMS designs in line with region / European guidelines.
• Liaising with TMS vendor or development teams to provide the input they need to create enhancements.
• Creating reports/statistics based on TMS data (in SQL, Crystal Report or Power BI based on study case).
• Building interfaces to integrate Yusen TMS systems with customers and partners in EDI tool Lobster or other tool.
• Suggesting/recommending TMS improvements/innovation.
• Evaluating new TMS versions (upgrades)

Support:

• Provide technical support to internal customers. Become the Subject Matter Expert within an IT environment
• Incident and problem management
• Adhere to incident management controls, tools and SLA’s
• Helping with TMS based on request from level 1, supporting of new function even old solutions. Training of all Level 1. Liaising with TMS vendor or development teams to provide the input they need to create enhancements.
• Creating reports/statistics based on TMS data (in SQL, Crystal Report or Power BI based on study case).
• Building interfaces to integrate Yusen TMS systems with customers and partners in EDI tool Lobster or other tool.
• Suggesting/recommending TMS improvements/innovation.
• Evaluating new TMS versions (upgrades).

Configuration:

• Configure transport systems to meet agreed requirements and specifications
• Test system performance and configuration
• Test functional enhancements and present to UAT
• Support users during their UAT

Project Management:

• Provide necessary project controls to deliver the solution, using Yusen PM tools
• Liaison and management of external parties where required
• Manage project deliverables

Training:

• Provide appropriate training and materials for delivered and new solutions

QUALIFICATONS

REQUIRED LEVEL OF EDUCATION:
• A level in Mathematics, English and Science subject preferred.
• Computer Science desirable.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
• Essential - experience of working in a 3PL/4PL operational environment OR demonstrable experience of working with Transport Management Systems in an IT environment
• Skilled in the production of scope and functional specification documents
• Experienced in running small projects with a good understanding of project management principles
• Broad knowledge of Yusen business and operations

• Able to learn new systems quickly
• At ease working under pressure to cost and time deadlines
• Knowledge of Carlo TMS, configuration, testing and documentation
• Capability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support.
• Ability to work with databases (like Oracle SQL). Experience with DML SQL and PL/SQL or T-SQL
• Data Analysis: Ability to analyse data and identify trends and patterns.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly and effectively resolve issues, searching for root cause during solving.
