The GL Accountant is responsible for managing the overall accounting operations in one or more branches/legal entities, handling a wide range of tax, accounting, and treasury tasks, including serving as the fiscal representative.

Main Responsibilities:

GL/Accounting :
• Adheres to global accounting standards and policies
• Is responsible for the correct usage of GL accounts and costs centers
• Is responsible for the reconciliation between the accounting system with the operational systems;
• Assures Monthly closing within the set deadlines
• Prepares GL account reconciliations on a quarterly base
• Assures compliance with external reporting within the legal deadlines (Statutory, Income Tax, VAT, etc.)
• Is responsible for the fixed asset register and organizes a yearly physical count
• Prepares and issues intercompany (non-operational) invoices
• Is responsible for the T&E expense declaration process
• Is responsible for all tax related matters (Transfer Pricing, Prepayments, Deferred taxes, Filings, etc.)
• Supports on statutory and internal audits

Fiscal representation :
• Acts as point of contact for the organization
• Is responsible for the accurate postings of all transactions
• Assures compliance with external reporting (VAT filing, IC listing, etc.) within the legal deadlines

Treasury:
• Adheres to global accounting standards and policies
• Supports on the issuance of bank and parental guarantees
• Organizes cash planning and management
• Monitors the financial risks of the FX position
• Supports on the monthly cash pooling overview within the given deadlines

Who are we looking for?
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2 years of relevant experience
• MS office, Microsoft Dynamics or any other ERP package
• Good verbal and written proficiency in Dutch and English. French and any other language is a plus.
• Experience in project management
• Basic knowledge in freight forwarding and logistics
• VAT & Income Tax knowledge
