We are looking for a Procurement Officer to be based at our site in Annesley (NG15 0DR), you will be working remotely up to 3 days per week (Subject to Business requirements).

As a Procurement Officer, you will build and maintain strong, positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. You will effectively evaluate supply options across a varied Goods and Services portfolio and provide an exceptional Procurement Service to Yusen Logistics. We are looking for someone with proven experience of running end to end tenders whilst maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The role will offer a salary range of between £35,000 and £40,000 (Subject to experience) with an additional £5,000 per annum car allowance.

Main Responsibilities:
• Build and sustain strong working relationships with new and existing suppliers
• Provide a skilled negotiation service, to minimise expenditure but maximise value-added advantages including areas of cost avoidance
• Market and internal analysis - using market intelligence, benchmarking, market testing, competitive tendering, pre-qualification, evaluation, and recommendation of potential suppliers
• Liaising with key employees to promote the awareness of the Procurement department, offering advice and guidance to the business in all matters relating to the procurement of goods and services in-line with the use of existing Procurement Policy and Procedures
• Develop service level agreements and key performance indicators to monitor and measure suppliers against pre-determined targets as part of ongoing supplier contract management
• Provide market intelligence and advise the business on the best way to achieve value for money, including total cost of ownership, innovation, and sustainability initiatives
• Communicate any issues to Procurement Manager that arise at the earliest possible time
• Continuously stay up to date with price trends and market shortages
• Supporting the department with day-to-day operational requirements

Skills & Requirements
• Ideally qualified to CIPS level 4 or working towards it.
• Experience within similar role within a Procurement Function of a multi-site organisation, ideally with experience of dealing with multiple vendors
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build sustainable and productive relationships with suppliers
• Experienced in using advanced excel
• Work well under pressure with great time management
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a confident and positive attitude

• Hold a driving license and own a vehicle (Necessary for the role)
