Role Overview
Are you passionate about building reliable integrations and developing APIs that connect complex business systems?

We are looking for a Integration Engineer – Mulesoft to join our European IT organisation and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of our integration landscape.

In this role, you will design, develop, test and support integration solutions using MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform. Working closely with IT colleagues, business stakeholders and external partners, you will help deliver secure, scalable and maintainable integrations that support our European operations.

You will play an important role in ensuring our integration services remain reliable while identifying opportunities to improve performance, automation and development standards.

Key Responsibilities
• API & Integration Development: Design, develop and maintain MuleSoft applications, APIs and integration flows using Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Platform.
• Solution Design: Translate business and technical requirements into integration solutions, including data mapping, transformation, routing and connectivity.
• Technical Support: Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Testing & Deployment: Perform unit and integration testing, including MUnit, and support deployments, go-live activities and production releases.
• Development Standards: Apply best practices in API-led connectivity, source control, code reviews, CI/CD and secure integration development.
• Documentation: Maintain technical specifications, interface mappings, support documentation and deployment records.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, customers and external partners to ensure integrations meet business requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve reusable components, automation, platform reliability and overall development efficiency.

What You Will Bring
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience developing and supporting integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Anypoint Studio.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, API-led connectivity and DataWeave 2.0.
• Experience working with data formats such as JSON, XML and CSV, including data transformation and mapping.
• Familiarity with integration protocols and technologies such as HTTP/HTTPS, SFTP, databases and messaging.
• Experience with Git, Maven, CI/CD pipelines and software development best practices.
• Knowledge of API specifications such as RAML or OpenAPI, integration testing and MUnit.
• Understanding of secure integration development, including authentication, authorisation and data protection.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.

Nice to have:
• Experience with logistics, warehouse management, ERP or EDI integrations.
• MuleSoft Developer certification.
• Knowledge of SQL, FTPS, AS2 or event-driven integration patterns.
