Role Overview
Manage overall daily-operation of Financial Planning & Analysis matters in Contract Logistics and Land transport (CLT) Europe. Serve as a bridge between GHQ CLT and Cluster organizations (Operating Companies) in Europe. Ensuring uniformed business information, managerial accounting data with CPR is available and accessible for management and business units. Generates and advises management and business unit via various business analyses, scenario planning and develops management reporting pro-actively and on request of Business Unit.
The role is ideally based at our Regional Office in Antwerp, but we welcome applications from across all our locations, if there is the flexibility to regularly travel to the Regional Office and other sites across Europe, as needed.
This position reports to the Regional Head of Planning & Control.
Key Responsibilities
Management
• Implements the Department(s) strategy plan (s) in line with the company Strategy and Business plan to each Cluster organizations in alignment with clusters.
• Drives digital innovation and leads system and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Adherence group policies and procedures; acts as manager for all matters within the responsibility area, in cooperation with the dedicated functions at GHQ CLT and Cluster organizations.
• Build and maintain a community with the CLT Controllers on Cluster level.
Controlling & Reporting
• Assures the monthly group reporting and CPR for all business Unit within the given deadlines in cooperation with CLT BU, GHQ (as YLGM CLT)
• Presenting / explaining the findings in verbal / written form to senior management and GHQ if needed;
• Communication with management and finance and CLT teams of Operating Companies on deviations, trends, developments, market trends, actions and rolling forecasts;
• Drives any Cost Reduction and Eliminate loss-making operational site/customer wise and monitors execution
• Controlling and owning the information on facility portfolio, customer profile and related service products information on CLT Data Bank (Managerial Accounting System of Global CLT)
• Coordinating regular regional meeting and periodical PDCA with Cluster Organization.
Financial Planning & Analysis
• Drives and coordinates the annual budgeting with CLT budget Packages, rolling forecasting and planning processes, Mid Term Plan in line with global CLT and managements in the region and clusters
• Initiative the detailed analytics and trend analysis of financial and non-financial for strategic planning and proper review with GHQ CLT and Cluster Organization.
• Actively supports, reviews and monitors the CLT relating Ringisho’s (investment requests) with stakeholders regarding the economic efficiency (ROI) and business analysis (incl. TCO).
• Navigates through databases, advanced spreadsheets, and builds data visualization via an interactive PBI dashboard.
Transformation
• Supports corporate restructuring to develop a consistent organizational structure
• Supports a matrix collaboration with and between Clusters Heads
• Brings positivism and is actively involved in Post Merger Integration activities for the finance function

• Organizes registration on nonconformity events and works together with stakeholders on corrective and preventive actions

What You Will Bring To The Role
• Bachelor’s degree in economical area
• +5Y relevant experience in financial and corporate planning position
• Managerial capabilities and strong communication skills
• Experience in interacting with management including overseas parent company and working within decentralized teams
• Demonstrated hands-on mindset with an understanding of business implications and opportunities
• Good verbal and written proficiency in English
• Basic knowledge in contract logistics and land transport
• Ability to complete daily-business/tasks reliably.
• Collaborative team player who fosters cooperation and teamwork within the department and across the organization.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing regulations and business requirements.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Good sense of humour.
• Sensitive to and respectful of cultural differences. International outlook.
