Role Overview
We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to be based at our Northampton SDC site (NN7 2FR). This role will be responsible for the smooth coordination and execution of Nordic shipments through thorough communication with our customers and hauliers. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills and ideally some previous experience working within a logistics / transport operation.
The shift pattern for the position is Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00, with up to three days working from home (subject to business requirements). This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of £30,750.
Key Responsibilities
• Daily oversight of supplier warehouse and transportation activities. Real-time monitoring of shipments, anticipating risks and adjusting plans accordingly.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Query resolution and complaint management, providing regular communication to the customer on the status of shipments and any anticipated issues or delays.
• Proactively liaising with carriers to resolve in-transit issues.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements.
• Be accountable for meeting both individual and team KPI targets, supporting work on process improvement and standardisation in relation to Quality, Service and Cost.
• Ensure system data is accurate and up-to-date and assist with reporting / analysis on performance.
What You Will Bring To The Role
• Previous experience in a logistics administration / coordination role is desirable, but training can be provided to the right candidate.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Experience of working within a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, including MS Office and Excel (previous use of transport management systems is beneficial).
• The ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
