We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Team Leader Customs Operations to join our team in Moerdijk. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Customs Supervisor, Team Leader, or Senior Customs Specialist ready to take the next step in their leadership career within a global logistics organization.

Your Responsibilities at Customs Team Leader:
+ Leading, coaching, and developing a team of customs professionals
+ Ensuring the accurate and timely execution of all customs activities, including customs declarations and bonded warehouse administration
+ Monitoring operational performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
+ Acting as Key User for customs software systems and coordinating reporting, reconciliations, and customs-related payments
+ Ensuring compliance with customs legislation, VAT regulations, internal policies, and customer requirements
+ Supporting internal and external audits, including AEO-related activities
+ Identifying operational risks and implementing corrective and preventive actions
+ Managing direct and indirect representation agreements, including annual reviews
+ Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, customs authorities, and other governmental agencies
+ Collaborating closely with the Customs Manager Netherlands on process improvements, projects, and strategic initiatives

Your Profile at Customs Team Leader:
+ A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
+ Experience in a supervisory, coordinating, or senior customs role within logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations
+ Strong knowledge of customs legislation, international trade regulations, and VAT requirements
+ Experience working with customs and compliance-related systems
+ Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and develop others
+ Excellent organizational and prioritization capabilities
+ A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
+ Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
+ Professional proficiency in Dutch and English; additional language skills such as French are an advantage
