(This role will be based at our Tilbrook site (MK7 8BN) moving to Northampton in early 2026. The working pattern for this role Monday to Friday working 8:30 to 17:30).

We are looking for a dedicated NVOCC Import Coordinator to join our fantastic team. In this role you will provide excellent customer service to the ocean freight Import clientele of Yusen Logistics (UK) Ltd, by collaborating with the customer global key accounts. As an Import Coordinator, you will review ways of working to ensure shipments are Managed efficiently and ‘right first time’.

The role offers a salary of £25,000 – £30,000 per annum (DOE) with the opportunity to work from home up to 3 days per week, with 2 days in the office (subject to business requirements).

THE ROLE

Key responsibilities:
1. Operational
a. Manage Import container movements on behalf of the clients
b. Work closely with Yusen origin offices to ensure consignments move correctly and on time
c. Provide transactional service supports such as customs clearance and haulage
d. Act as direct point of contact for clients, ensuring that all operational requirements and enquiries are concluded accurately and courteously
e. Communicate and escalate to team members and Management wherever necessary
f. Ensure total accuracy of all information and high standards of operational service are always met

2. Administrative
a. Generate and maintain control sheets to fully track and audit all consignments accurately
b. Ensure maintenance of systems with accurate and real-time data

3. Commercial
a. Provide ad-hoc freight quotations on request, using every opportunity to up-sell Yusen services
b. Monitor and control all cost and revenue at job-file level
c. Confirm and process all job-file invoicing
d. Accurate and on-time sales invoicing and cost management

Key requirements:
- Prove experience from an administration and/or customer service environment is essential
- Experience in logistics and/or freight forwarding is desirable
- Proactive and flexible approach
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong numeracy/literacy
- Basic IT; Microsoft Office, in-house systems
