About Yusen Logistics
Yusen Logistics is working to become the world’s preferred supply chain logistics company. Our complete offer is designed to forge better connections between businesses, customers and communities – through innovative supply chain management, freight forwarding, warehousing and distribution services. As a company we’re dedicated to a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring everyone who works with us is committed, connected and creative in making us the world’s preferred choice.

Role Overview
To further strengthen our European IT infrastructure landscape, we are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer (L3) – Cloud, Linux & Virtualization Specialist.
This is a highly technical role for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges while also looking ahead to how technology can be modernised, automated and improved.

As a senior technical specialist, you will take ownership of complex enterprise infrastructure across both cloud and on-premise environments, acting as a key Subject Matter Expert for Linux/Unix systems and open-source virtualization technologies, particularly Proxmox/KVM.

Beyond L3 support, you will contribute to infrastructure architecture and modernisation initiatives, drive automation and operational improvements, and act as a technical escalation point for the wider infrastructure team. You will combine deep technical expertise with an ownership mindset to ensure our critical infrastructure remains secure, scalable, resilient and ready for the future.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced L3 support and lead the resolution of complex and business-critical infrastructure incidents across hybrid cloud and on-premise environments.
• Design, implement and maintain highly available, scalable and secure enterprise infrastructure platforms.
• Act as the primary Linux/Unix Subject Matter Expert, covering system administration, performance tuning, hardening, clustering and high-availability environments.
• Own and manage Proxmox VE environments, including KVM virtualization, LXC containers, HA clusters, storage integration, backup and disaster recovery.
• Architect and support Microsoft Azure solutions and integrate cloud services with on-premise infrastructure.
• Support cloud migration, workload modernisation and hybrid infrastructure initiatives.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Bash, Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible and other Infrastructure as Code technologies.
• Promote DevOps practices and identify opportunities to reduce manual activities through scripting, automation and orchestration.
• Apply secure-by-design principles, supporting vulnerability remediation, system hardening and infrastructure compliance.
• Contribute to infrastructure architecture, technical standards and the longer-term technology roadmap.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and open-source solutions that can improve performance, resilience, scalability and cost efficiency.
• Act as a technical authority and escalation point for L1/L2 engineers, providing hands-on coaching and knowledge sharing to strengthen the wider team's technical capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, security teams and external vendors to support successful infrastructure projects and implementations.

What You Will Bring To The Role
• Strong experience working in a senior L3 infrastructure engineering position within complex enterprise environments.
• Expert-level knowledge of Linux/Unix environments, including distributions such as RHEL, Ubuntu and Debian.
• Strong hands-on experience with Proxmox VE, KVM and LXC, including high availability and clustered environments.
• Advanced professional knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including IaaS and PaaS services and hybrid architecture.
• Good understanding of VMware and/or Hyper-V environments.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking concepts including DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing, VPN/IPSEC and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience with Linux-based networking and advanced IP routing.
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities using Bash, Python and PowerShell.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management, such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Good understanding of storage technologies including SAN, NAS, Ceph, ZFS, NFS and iSCSI.
• Experience designing and supporting backup, disaster recovery, high availability and clustering solutions.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, vulnerability management and system hardening.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools within enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of multi-cloud environments such as AWS or GCP would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain effective during critical incidents.
• An ownership mindset and the confidence to take end-to-end accountability for complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to different audiences.
• A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in mentoring and developing other engineers.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
• Flexibility to provide additional or shift-based support where required by business needs.

What We Offer
• A senior technical role with the opportunity to influence our European infrastructure landscape.
• The opportunity to work across cloud, Linux, virtualization and hybrid infrastructure technologies in a complex enterprise environment.
• A key role in infrastructure modernisation, automation and architectural improvement initiatives.
• The freedom to contribute ideas, evaluate emerging technologies and help shape future technical standards.
• Collaboration with international IT teams, architects, security specialists and technology partners.
• The opportunity to mentor other engineers and contribute to the development of technical expertise across the wider team.
• Professional development and career opportunities within a global organisation.
• A competitive salary and benefits package.
