Busines Development Manager - Contract Logistics

Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager – Contract Logistics is responsible for profitable new business growth of the Contract Logistics (CL) Business Unit across Cluster East (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Poland), covering the full sales cycle from market mapping and lead generation through RFI/RFQ, solution design, pricing and contract negotiation to a controlled handover into implementation.
The role is the commercial lead for CL in the Cluster. It works closely with Solution Design, Operations, Finance, Legal and the wider Yusen Logistics network (Air & Ocean Freight, Road, Customs, Japanese Desk) to win multi-year dedicated and shared-user warehousing contracts and to grow wallet share with existing Key Accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify, qualify and acquire new Contract Logistics customers across targeted industry sectors and market segments.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking.
• Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting and solution design through negotiation, contract signing, and implementation.
• Develop tailored warehousing and supply chain solutions that address customer needs.
• Collaborate with Operations, Solution Design, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to deliver competitive proposals.
• Manage RFQs, tenders, and commercial negotiations.
• Maintain accurate CRM data, forecasts, and pipeline reporting.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
What You Will Bring To The Role
•Proven success in Contract Logistics, 3PL, warehousing, or supply chain solution sales.
•Minimum 5 years of B2B business development experience.
•Strong commercial mindset and consultative selling skills.
•Experience managing complex sales cycles and contract negotiations.
•Ability to build long-term customer relationships and drive sustainable growth.
•Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft 365.
