The role
We are looking for a Commercial Co-ordinator (Ocean Freight Forwarding) to be based at our office either in Rainham (RM13 8EU) or Grange Park 3 (NN4 5FB), with opportunity to wok remotely up to 3 days per week.
Your core hours of work will be Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm.

Key responsibilities:
• As Commercial Co-ordinator, you will support our Ocean Freight Forwarding business, managing commercial activities
• Handle daily quotation requests from clients, the wider Yusen network, and internal teams, ensuring all responses meet department KPIs
• Engage directly with shipping lines and hauliers to negotiate rates and gather up-to-date pricing, and you’ll contribute to local carrier meetings to support ongoing service development
• Maintain and share ocean freight tariffs and product tools for team use
• Provide sales support with accurate quotations and service details
Key requirements:
• Experience and industry knowledge of logistics operations, particularly Ocean Freight operations
• A strong financial understanding (profit and loss)
• Excellent numerical skills with a high attention to detail
• Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems, including Excel
• Previous experience using CargoWise system is advantageous
