We are looking for a Key Account Contract Manager in our Marston Gate site.
The position holder will lead/manage all aspects of the contract to ensure that operational efficiency, customer service and financial performance are met and/or exceeded for both the customer and Yusen.
The position will offer a salary range of £45,000-60,000 (subject to experience), car allowance of £6,000, bonus, family health cover and opportunity to work remotely up to 3 days per week.
Key responsibilities:
1. Relationship Management
a. Engage with key customer stakeholders to maintain existing relationships and provide a platform for further organic growth
b. Lead monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews with customers, ensuring accurate information is presented and any remedial actions are understood and implemented
c. Lead commercial negotiations for contractual renewals and annual reviews
d. Key escalation point for customers, ensuring queries are managed in a professional and timely manner, and appropriate actions taken
e. Engage with internal stakeholders to maintain existing relationships and provide a platform for good practice, sharing with team members and departments as appropriate
2. Financial & Legal
a. Budgetary Manage Profit & Loss for customer accounts, ensuring budgetary targets are achieved, escalating any deviances as appropriate in a timely manner
b. Managing financial data flows to strict deadlines to ensure accurate and timely production of monthly management accounts
c. Approval of all cost and revenue elements, such as purchase orders and customer invoices in a timely manner
d. Ensure customer charging and invoicing procedures are adhered to according to company procedure
e. Oversee implementation of profit enhancing initiatives and actively seek to maximise cost savings
3. Quality & Compliance
a. Ensure all quality and compliance requirements are upheld by team and haulier partners, establishing any necessary corrective actions and escalating any potential breaches as appropriate
b. Seek to develop and deploy best practice across contract
4. Operational Management
a. Safeguard the Yusen position by ensuring delivery on expectations for quality, service and cost
b. Participation in business reviews relevant to markets
Key requirements:
• Extensive overall logistics management experience, preferably in a 3/4PL pharmaceutical environment
• Proven ability in managing senior stakeholder customer relationships
• Proven ability in managing P&L
• Final mile experience is desirable
• Knowledge & understanding of effective customer & supplier relationship management principles
• Excellent presentation delivery skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office platforms including Excel; Word; PowerPoint; E-mail
• Regular European travel to the key customer’s sites will be required (every 2 months)
