We are looking for a Business Intelligence Solutions Analyst to be based in Northampton or Annesley.
The BI Solutions Analyst will work closely with other teams ( Operational and Finance) to gather, clarify and document business requirements into functional specifications (including process mapping), perform gap analysis against the current system functionality and translate any new build requirements / changes to the technical build team. In addition to this, you will effectively communicate technical system aspects to non-technical users, which will support the change management process by ‘selling’ the system benefits and new ways of working.
The successful candidate must have experience of working within Microsoft Power Platform and demonstrable experience of creating functional / technical specifications for the delivery of bespoke systems.
The role will offer a salary of up to £45K (depending on experience) and an opportunity to work remotely up to 4 days per week (subject to business requirements).

Key responsibilities:
1. Digitalisation programme
a. Contribute to the Finance digital roadmap
b. Helping with the identification and prioritisation of Finance Digitalisation projects and solutions to maintaining a pipeline of development work
c. Maintain awareness of best-in-class business intelligence tools, systems and methodologies
2. Analysis
a. Creating detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and gap analysis
b. In collaboration with the BI Team ensuring that appropriate solutions are identified and designed
c. Documenting functional and technical requirements
3. Relationships & Teamwork
a. Engaging with key stakeholders to maintain and develop existing relationships to provide a platform for further organic growth
b. Working with internal and external customers to identify and define key projects, requirements and delivery objectives
c. Effectively communicate with customers, meet on regular basis to provide project updates.
4. Project Management
a. Providing necessary project controls, including financial and resources, to deliver the solution
b. Liaison and management of external parties where required and ensuring appropriate terms of engagement are maintained
Key requirements
• Experience in the mapping of processes to produce comprehensive specification documents, gap analysis etc
• Experience of leading small projects through the full production cycle using appropriate project management principles
• Good understanding of SQL Server and Alteryx (desirable)
• Advanced Excel
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability and enthusiasm to understand and interpret complex requirements and explain to non-technical audience• Analytical, always looking for ways around the problem.
• Able to learn new systems quickly.
• At ease working under pressure to tight deadlines
• Good at getting into the detail and confident in presenting information to a varied audience.
• Driving licence (occasional travel to different Yusen sites will be required)
