We are looking for a Site Inventory Manager to be based at our site in Wellingborough (NN8 6BS).
The position will directly manage a team of Inventory Supervisors and will oversee a team of inventory controllers across multiple departments within the site, whilst managing key customer relationships.
The position will offer a salary of £35-45K (depending on experience).
Key requirements:
1. Stock Integrity
a. Management oversight across all Inventory functions ensuring that all SLA & KPI activities are accurate, on time and within agreed targets.
b. Monitoring & reporting of all stock loss/damage claims across the site with root cause analysis and proactive resolutions in place.
2. Customer Relationship
a. Establish and maintain good customer relationships both internal and external, acting as the key customer contact for the Inventory department.
b. Lead regular inventory meetings to review performance and issues, providing accurate data in accordance with customer expectations.
3. Continuous Improvement
a. To recognise and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. To lead and be part of project teams using CI methodology to measure and demonstrate improvements for presentation to customer.
4. People Management
a. Oversee employee relations procedures such as holiday authorisations to ensure sufficient levels of employees are available as required to meet operational demands, raising in a timely manner where additional staff are required either on a temporary or permanent basis.
b. Ensuring sufficient inventory coverage is available across all departments at all times.
c. Ensure all company procedures are adhered to, including ER procedures, such as absence and performance management, standards of behaviour, disciplinary, PDR etc, supporting with investigations and disciplinary hearings as necessary.
5. Health & Safety
a. Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, taking appropriate action where procedures are not being adhered to or could be improved.
b. Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, taking appropriate action to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Key requirements:
• Inventory management experience
• WMS experience, AS/400 Opus and SAP
• Experience of managing a team
• Excellent customer management skills
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office suite with advanced Excel skills essential
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Previous experience with continuous improvement and use of lean Six Sigma tools and methodology
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy levels
