We are now seeking an LGV Class 2 Driver to join us at our Leeds depot at Cross Green Approach on a full-time, permanent basis with start times between 6am and 7am, Monday to Friday.

The Role:

As an LGV Class 2 Driver, you will undertake deliveries throughout the North East to fulfil our Howdens contract.

Delivering products to our dedicated Howdens depots from our Leeds location, you’ll be working across Northumberland, West Yorkshire and East Yorkshire.

Loads will be palletised and loaded/unloaded by FLT at the depot, however on occasion, you may be required to get involved in the loading/unloading process.

You will take a flexible approach to your activities and may be asked to work on other contracts to support the needs of the organisation.


This role will involve occasional manual handling.

About You

To be considered as an LGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

- A full, valid class 2 driving licence with at least two years’ commercial driving experience
- A maximum of six points on your licence (excluding BA, CD, DD, DR, or DG codes)
- A valid Driver CPC Card
- A valid Digital Tachograph card
- Knowledge of Working time regulations (WTR) and Driver’s hours
- A good understanding of Telematics
- A good understanding of SAFED
- Good communication skills
- A flexible approach to work with the ability to start at varying times
- Time management skills and the ability to work alone
