We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager in Marston Gate (working remotely up to 3 days per week).
The position holder will lead and develop Right First Time and LEAN culture, delivering tangible improvements across cost, quality and service both internally and externally (client focused). The role will be responsible for implementing initiatives to improve operations across multiple functions, sites and systems by introducing robust initiatives focused around LEAN and Six sigma. The position will maintain close collaboration with our key pharmaceutical customers and will frequently deliver CI update presentations to the key customer stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:
1. Continuous Improvement
a. Development of clear CI strategy for the Business Unit.
b. Co-ordinate the Company’s Continuous Improvement activities to provide broader business benefit and a centralised focus and establish a reporting method for these projects.
c. Determine and introduce training/development for those involved in management and delivery of CI projects.
2. Kaizen
a. Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities and achieve target savings through Kaizen.
b. Co-ordinate with contract / operational managers to establish process improvements.
c. Effectively utilise tools such as LEAN Thinking, Six Sigma methodologies and Value Stream Mapping.
d. Support implementation projects where process improvement is in scope.
3. Right First Time
a. Create ownership and capability development at sites, supporting site teams to coach and train tools and principles which build and embed a Right First Time / Lean culture.
b. Develop and maintain new and existing relationships to share and develop best practice standards.
c. Liaise with UK, regional and global CI managers to leverage & share best-practice.
d. Maintain and develop excellent working relationships with customers and strive to recommend and develop improvements in services offered.
4. Data Analysis
a. Support the contracts with extraction and compilation of standard and ad hoc reports.
b. Analyse data patterns to provide insights and trends to internal and external stakeholders.
Key requirements:
• Extensive overall logistics management experience, preferably in a 3/4PL healthcare environment.
• A proven track record of delivering significant, sustained business performance improvements.
• Core CI skills and experience (Lean, Kaizen, Green Belt)
• Demonstrable experience of developing and applying Lean and process improvement tools and techniques in a fast-paced environment
• Able to understand complex information / concepts quickly and disseminate in an understandable way
• Great stakeholder and change management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Data analysis skills.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office platforms including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, E-mail.
• Some European travel will be required (every 1-2 months).
