About the Job:
We are currently hiring for a Regional IT Automation Manager who will establish the regional IT Automation function covering both Physical and Logical Automation. The primary objectives of automation in the warehouse are to improve operational efficiency, reduce errors, boost productivity, and optimize the use of space. Ultimately, this leads to a more streamlined and cost-effective warehouse management system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy
• Define and implement regional IT automation function to meet agreed strategic business priorities.
Customer / Delivery:
• Engage with IT, operational and back-office stakeholders to establish the priorities for IT automation across the business.
• Establish Logical and Physical automation best practice and grow the team in line with regional demand.
• Manage all automation projects according to agreed timelines and report on progress.
• Enhance efficiency: streamline tasks, reducing manual labor and the time required to complete processes, boosting overall efficiency.
• Increase accuracy: automate systems to be highly precise, minimizing errors and inventory management tasks.
• Faster order fulfillment: Physical warehouse automation systems expedite order processing and shipping, leading to quicker delivery times and improved customer satisfaction.
Business Growth and Continuous Improvement:
• Seek opportunities to continually enhance and improve the IT Automation function to add value to the region.
• Collaborate with all IT functions and help define standard service catalogue items.
• Cost saving: Reduce labor cost, improve inventory control, optimize space usage, which will contribute to significant cost savings over time.
• Scalability: adapt systems to changing business needs and increased workloads, ensuring flexibility.
• Employee focus: by automating repetitive tasks, employees will be able to focus on more strategic and value-added activities.
Team management:
• Lead and manage the team to create a motivated and engaged team.
• Set team and individual objectives and manage resources to achieve IT goals and team priorities.
• Drive effective performance management, coaching and personal development for all team members so that everyone achieves their full potential.
• Deliver engaging team and individual communication ensuring regular weekly team briefings and cascade on IT leadership communications.
Process and Governance:
• Member of the Application Solutions management team.
• Accountable for IT automation best practice, standards, and execution.
QUALIFICATONS
REQUIRED LEVEL OF EDUCATION: Bachelor / Master Degree level or equivalent IT experience
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
• IT Leadership / Management in IT / Multinational Business / Matrix organizations / Logistics Experience / Market Awareness / General IT knowledge.
• Demonstrated capability in both the technical and management scope of this role.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and empowering employees to achieve success.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire technical groups.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Physical Warehouse Automation including integration with WMS/TMS/ERP systems.
• Logical Automation – Robotic Process Automation (UiPath), Power Apps knowledge strongly desirable.
• Prior project engineering and/or technical management experience.
