We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and resilient Operational Efficiency Lead, to be based at our site in Wellingborough (NN8 6BS). As an Operational Efficiency Lead you will be predominantly based within Business to Business and Ecommerce operations. In this role you will ensure that the operational requirements are met in order to drive operational improvements and an improved service offering to our customer. Additionally, you will act as a support and /or deputise for the Operations Managers of both the B2B (Business to Business) and D2C (Direct to Consumer) teams when required.
The working scheduling is predominantly working a Monday to Friday with the flexibility to work either 9:00 – 17:00, 8:00 – 16:00 or 7:00 – 15:00 on a standard week, however in this role, we do ask for a level of flexibility around busy periods or as per business demands.

Key responsibilities:
Operational Efficiency:
• Support with the planning and execution of key operational periods including Launch, Black Friday, Month end and peak.
• Resource planning & management of operations.
• VAS (value added) services as required & customer reporting, as well as attending customer planning and wash up meetings.
• Identify potential areas for improvement and assist with ensuring the key deliverables are met.
Continuous Improvement:
• Deliver on company Kaizen and Yes requirements to ensure that operational standards are continually maintained, and all recommended improvements are implemented,
tracked and measured.
• Take a proactive hands-on approach to ensure operational standards are improved at all opportunities.
Operations Management:
• Assist and/or deputise for the Operations Managers when required, ensuring customer requirements are met, any issues are resolved, and performance standards are maintained whilst ensuring adherence to SOPs and SSOW.
• Carry out any other reasonable requests to support the continued effective running of the warehouse.
Data Analysis & Insights Communication:
• Collate, manage, and analyse operational data to provide insights and support the decision making process.
• Support developing dashboards to track efficiency metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Cooperate and work collaboratively to foster effective working relationships with with key stakeholders within both SDSe and SEUK.
Health & Safety
• Ensure that all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, and take appropriate action where identified that procedures are not being adhered to or could be improved.
• Ensure that all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure and take appropriate action to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Maintain and update site Risk Assessments, Safe, System of Work and working instructions.
Key requirements:
• Good level of general education, including good understanding of both written and verbal English.
• IOSH Managing Safely is desirable but not essential.
• Literate and numerate.
• Previous experience in a fast-moving logistics/warehouse operation.
• Experience / exposure to Yes and Kaizen is an advantage.
• Experience in process improvement is essential.
• Strong collaborative skills.
• Ability to utilise data to provide operational insights.
• Flexible and proactive approach.
• Ability to withstand pressure and work to tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to interface with customers.
• Able to relay information clearly, concisely and accurately, asking questions to ensure complete understanding.
• Effective communication with all stakeholders in the most appropriate form.
• To be fully flexible in line with the needs of the business, especially during busy periods is essential.
• Qualification Lean Six Sigma Green or Yellow Belt or working knowledge of is desirable.
