About the Job:
We are currently seeking a professional L2 Infrastructure Engineer who will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure of an organization. This mid-level position involves handling complex technical issues, ensuring system stability, and providing advanced support to both L1 engineers and end-users. The L2 Infrastructure Engineer works with various technologies, including servers, networks, and cloud services, to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance of IT systems.
Responsibilities:
System Maintenance and Support:
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues escalated from L1 support.
• Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure system security and efficiency.
• Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to prevent downtime.
Infrastructure Management:
• Manage and configure servers, storage, and network devices.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of infrastructure resources.
• Maintain documentation of infrastructure configurations and procedures.
Security and Compliance:
• Implement and monitor security measures to protect data and infrastructure from cyber threats.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with other IT teams to implement and support new technologies and projects.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to L1 support staff.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
• Coordinate with external vendors for hardware and software procurement, support, and maintenance.
• Manage service contracts and ensure vendors meet their SLAs.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of server administration (Windows/Linux).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Proficiency in network configuration and troubleshooting (Cisco, Juniper).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and related services.
• Understanding of storage solutions and backup/recovery processes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Vomputer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure support or a related role.
• Proficiency in server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, etc.) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
• Knowledge of networking protocols, firewall configurations, and VPN technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco CCNA) are a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Fluent in French. Knowledge of English would be a plus.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience in a similar role within a medium to large enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices and experience in an ITIL-based environment.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
