We are looking for an Air Export Clerk in our Egham office.
The position holder will organise export shipments in a busy airfreight environment. They will service a demanding and developing commercial client base with a high level of care, while working to company and industry standards and regulations. Standard working hours will be 9.00am-5.00pm Monday-Friday; every 3-4 weeks with weekend call out rotation every 3-4 weeks when trained.
Key responsibilities
1. Operational
a. Prepare and issue Air Export documentation including MAWB/HAWB, Manifests and labels using YUNAS software.
b. Process all types of shipments including Hazardous, Out of Gauge, Pharma, AOG and General Cargo. Process job file from start to finish including invoicing and post flight
2. Customs
a. Completion of Export Customs declarations using ASM Sequoia in accordance with the appropriate regime, instructions and regulations. Licences, Carnets, LoC and Consular Documents
3. Commercial
a. Negotiate carrier rates for specific shipments and create customer pricing using Web Cargo software.
b. Liaise with Customers or overseas network offices using phone/email
4. Customer Service
a. Develop local level relationship with customers to promote Yusen’s service offerings
5. Compliance
a. Work in accordance with company and industry regulations, i.e. AVSEC, H&S, ISO,
Key requirements:
• Air Export experience, ideally using Cargowise Software and ASM Sequoia to complete HMRC entries.
• AVSEC CO level or higher is preferable
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to prioritise and organise workload
• Proactive and flexible approach
• MS Word/Excel
