Are you prepared to be an integral part of the dynamic realm of Air Freight Forwarding? We're in search of a committed Pricing & Procurement Manager to join our team in Brussels or Amsterdam Schiphol, contributing to the commercial endeavours throughout our Airfreight operations.
As a crucial contributor, you'll take charge of tender management, carrier negotiations, marketing endeavours, and beyond, ensuring the sustained prosperity and expansion of our business.
What’s the job about:
• Tender Management and Marketing Activities: Coordinate RFQs with our network and Business Development teams, ensuring timely responses and high success rates.
• Local Procurement & Network Activities: Foster strong relationships with airlines, negotiate rates, and expand our carrier portfolio as needed. Lead carrier review meetings and share updates with relevant stakeholders.
• Sales & Marketing Support: Develop and distribute promotional materials, provide market insights to the sales team, and contribute to sales statistics reporting.
• Commercial Reporting: Contribute to reporting processes, standardize rate quote templates, and ensure consistency in offer terms and conditions.
• Supervisory Responsibility: Coach and develop team members to maximize productivity and adherence to company procedures.
Who are we looking for:
• Previous experience in Air Freight Forwarding, particularly in procurement and operational activities;
• Possesses strong commercial acumen, driven by financial considerations, with an analytical mindset. Proficient in negotiating win-win agreements, proactive in approach, and capable of working independently;
• Effective communicator with good oral and written communication skills in English and Dutch. Demonstrates good listening and negotiation skills;
• Forges strong relationships with customers (external and internal), exhibiting a keen ability to listen to and deeply understand their needs;
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload effectively;
• Demonstrates openness to new ideas; comes up with useful ideas to improve the way we do things;
• Proficiency in CargoWise, Web Cargo, MS Office, and strong industry knowledge.
