The Role:
We are looking to hire a GLOBAL HEALTHCARE TENDER SPECIALIST who will be responsible for managing and overseeing the tendering process within the healthcare sector on a global scale. Their primary role involves handling procurement activities, responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), and preparing tender submissions. The role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic and competitive global environment. The Global Healthcare Tender Specialist plays a crucial role in securing business opportunities and contributing to the overall success of the organization within the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and procurement with knowledge of pharmaceutical and healthcare. The primary responsibility of the Tender Specialist will be to manage the tender process, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering competitive bids that meet the needs of our clients.
Our ideal candidate:
• Understand the scope of work, read RFI's/ITT's, and assist in strategy preparation.
• Schedule and coordinate various meetings from the kickoff meeting to determine strategy and identify wider Tender team, to the final meeting to approve submission.
• Project manage the compilation of information from various departments to complete business Tenders.
• Commercial & Technical qualification of all Tenders ensuring risk mitigation.
• Creation of Tender estimates and cost models.
• Ensuring that Tenders are delivered within the specified timescales and delivered to the client in a compliant way.
• Support Yusen tender teams in managing Healthcare tenders that are essential for the Healthcare Industry Vertical (Key Accounts). This requires knowledge of HC customers’ requirements; packaging, airline services, temperature-controlled market developments and more. All in close cooperation with the Yusen Healthcare quality organization.
• Lead the HCIV pricing project and work closely together with the Airfreight and Ocean Freight departments to improve the tender process for Healthcare and become more competitive.
• Develop relationships with the Pharma Departments of our core carriers to ensure the best rates and services for our Healthcare Customers.
• Develop relationships with the Packaging Suppliers to ensure the best rates/solutions.
• Guide the air and ocean teams in potential investments in Healthcare Business and the Return of Investments plan.
• Participate in the carrier performance review regarding pharma/temperature-controlled services and capabilities.
• Participate/facilitate post-mortems for HC related tenders and follow up on action items.
• Work in collaboration with the Regional and Global Yusen Healthcare Quality organization.
• Requires periodic international travel.
• Reports to the Global Healthcare Industry Vertical Lead based in Amsterdam.
Required skills & qualifications.
• Working experience, within procurement and healthcare industry/logistics.
• Previous experience in Tendering/Commercial environment.
• Competent in completing the full tender process from ITT receipt through to Contract Award.
• Proven track record in securing high value contracts.
• Experience in compiling responses to public procurement tenders in Pharma and Healthcare markets
• Master's degree level education in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Management. CIPS qualification preferred.
• Fluent in English in both oral and written
• Sound knowledge of GDP and preferably GMP
• Pro-active personality, able to work independently
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Ability to work in complex organizations with multiple stakeholders and a multi-cultural environment
