Our business is expanding, and we are currently looking to recruit LGV Class 1 Drivers to join us on a permanent, full-time basis at our Leeds Depot. These positions are available with an immediate start.

The Role

As an LGV Class 1 Driver, you will safely and efficiently deliver products on behalf of our dedicated Customer. We deliver and collect from various sites including Jedburgh in the Scottish Boarders.

Adhering to designated routes, you’ll undertake route checks for safety restrictions, planned road works and traffic to ensure your journey will be smooth and efficient.

This role does not involve any manual handling although you will be responsible for securing the products ready for transportation.

You will be an effective communicator with a good command of English, ensuring that any issues will be relayed to the traffic office in the first instance. You’ll also demonstrate a professional and courteous manner to internal and external Customers, other road users and colleagues.

The normal working shifts for these roles are Monday to Friday but we may ask for some flexibility if some weekend work becomes necessary. We offer both day and night shifts, averaging around 10 hours per shift, depending on your delivery location. There will be a break of 45 minutes deducted each day.

About You

To be considered as an LGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
• A full, valid LGV Class 1 licence, preferably with 2 years’ experience
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• A good working knowledge of working time regulations
• A CPC Driver qualification
• A current Digital Tachograph Card
• A flexible attitude to working hours
• A good understanding of English
• To be able to work collaboratively within a team environment
• To be able to work independently with the ability to ‘think on your feet’
• The ability to deliver goods in a timely manner
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail, ensuring all Documents are completed correctly
• Excellent Customer service skills
• To follow all instructions as required
• The desire to offer a first-class service to our customers

At least 2 years LGV Class 1 driving experience would be beneficial to your application, however, less experienced drivers are welcome to apply as we will train and develop you.
