We are looking for a Site Manager in Wolverton to manage all site operational functions and provide a first-class service to the client, whilst managing and maintaining site P&L control.
The position will offer a starting salary of £60,000, £6K car allowance, bonus and family health cover.
The shift pattern for this role is Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 & the occasional Saturday (flexibility required in line with business needs)

Key requirements:
1. Operational Control
a. Budgetary responsibility for the operational activities within the site
b. Ensure that any issues with meeting expectations are communicated both within Yusen Logistics business and to the customer in a timely manner
c. Responsible for overseeing the effective running of the warehouse and transport operations. Ensuring workforce planning, procedures and documentation requirements are achieved
d. Continually review measures of productivity and challenge resource plans to optimise productivity and performance
e. Undertake facilities management as required in a timely manner, making full use of appropriate resources to provide efficient and professional service
2. Customer Service
a. Establish and maintain good customer relationships
b. Ensuring that professional and effective communication is maintained at all times
c. Regular management information and accurate reporting (internal and external)
3. Health and Safety /Company Procedures
a. Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to all times, raising any non-compliances or concerns at the earliest opportunity.
4. Employee Management
a. Ensure all company procedures, including absence, performance, holiday, etc are managed and adhered to.
b. Ensure all team members are aware of key outcomes, business processes, expectations and that all associated employee procedures are adhered to.
c. Review the training and development needs of both immediate and associated employees to ensure best practice is understood and shared.
Key requirements:
• Proven experience of managing a site (warehouse or distribution centre) or operation
• Commercial awareness and cost management of budget > £5-6m
• 3PL background with close relationships to key customer contacts
• Excellent customer and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrates proven history of business improvement through analysis
• Resilient personality and ability to remain focused under pressure
• Practical problem-solving ability
• A strong continuous improvement mindset
• Able to create and deliver presentation material
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong leader, with good values and work ethic
• IT – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
• Clean, valid driving licence, as some travel required (UK only)
