To support the continued growth of our Contract Logistics business, we are looking for a Head of Business Development & Solution Design to lead our commercial growth strategy and customer solution development across Cluster East.
Your Role
As Head of Business Development & Solution Design, you are responsible for driving business growth, leading strategic customer opportunities and overseeing the development of innovative warehouse and supply chain solutions across Cluster East.
You lead both the Business Development and Solution Design teams, ensuring that commercial opportunities are translated into customer-focused, scalable and operationally feasible solutions. Working closely with Operations, Industry Verticals, Key Account Management and regional stakeholders, you play a key role in shaping the future growth of our Contract Logistics business.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute the Contract Logistics sales and business development strategy across Cluster East
• Lead and develop the Business Development and Solution Design teams
• Drive lead generation, customer acquisition and RFQ management activities
• Oversee the design of innovative and customer-centric warehousing and supply chain solutions
• Support strategic customer negotiations and key account development
• Collaborate with Operations, Industry Verticals and regional stakeholders to drive growth
• Ensure strong governance across pricing, cost modelling, proposals and solution design
• Represent Yusen Logistics at customer meetings, industry events and commercial engagements
• Drive continuous improvement of commercial processes, tools and methodologies
Who You Are
• Extensive experience in Contract Logistics business development, solution design or commercial leadership
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, customer solutions and supply chain processes
• Proven experience leading commercial and cross-functional teams
• Strategic, customer-focused and commercially driven mindset
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills
• Able to translate customer requirements into scalable logistics solutions
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
