About the Job:
WE are looking to hire for TMS Specialist. The TMS Specialist (Application Specialist) will be responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance of software applications within Yusen for our Benelux OpCo. They ensure that applications function efficiently and effectively, meeting the specific needs and requirements of our business. And to provide second line support for Yusen’s regional strategic Transport Management System Carlo. Dealing with requests/incidents across a pan-European customer/user base and managing through to a conclusion.
Support:
• Provide technical support to internal customers.
• Become the Super User but within an IT environment.
• Incident and problem management.
• Adhere to incident management controls, tools and SLA’s.
Solution Design:
• Evaluate internal customer needs and requirements.
• Present proposed options.
• Propose system configuration to meet requirements and agree functional specifications.
Configuration:
• Configure relevant systems to meet agreed requirements and specifications.
• Test solutions and present to UAT.
Project Management:
• Provide necessary project controls to deliver the solution, using Yusen PM tools.
• Liaison and management of external parties where required.
• Manage project budgets.
Training:
• Provide appropriate training and materials for delivered solutions.
QUALIFICATONS
REQUIRED LEVEL OF EDUCATION:
• A level in Mathematics and Science subject preferred.
• Computer Science desirable.
• Knowledge of Dutch and/or German, and English
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
• Essential - experience of working in a 3PL/4PL operational environment OR demonstrable experience of working with Transport Management Systems in an IT environment
• Skilled in the production of scope and functional specification documents
• Experienced in running small projects with a good understanding of project management principles
• Broad knowledge of Yusen business and operations
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Commercial awareness and able to provide input to the production of cost/benefit analysis
• Excellent inter-personal skills – able to build a rapport at any level
• Able to learn new systems quickly
• At ease working under pressure to cost and time deadlines
