Keeping international trade moving requires more than efficient logistics. It depends on reliable customs processes and seamless system integration. As a Customs Applications Specialist, you play a key role in ensuring that our customs-related applications, interfaces and data flows operate efficiently, securely and compliantly. Working closely with Operations, IT teams and external partners, you help drive digitalisation, stability and continuous improvement across our customs technology landscape.
Your Responsibilities:
+ Support, maintain and enhance customs-related applications and their integration with WMS, TMS, ERP and other logistics platforms
+ Analyse and resolve complex application and integration issues across systems, operations and external vendor solutions
+ Coordinate software vendors, system releases, upgrades, user access requests and support activities
+ Support projects from requirements gathering and testing through to go-live and transition into operational support
+ Collaborate with Integration and EDI teams to define and implement interface, API and data exchange requirements
+ Create and maintain clear documentation for processes, interfaces, testing approaches and support procedures
+ Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual work and strengthen data quality across customs processes
+ Support compliance, security, auditability and governance requirements within the customs application environment
Your Profile
+ Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a comparable qualification, or equivalent practical experience
+ Experience working with logistics, customs, freight forwarding, transport management or warehouse management applications
+ Good understanding of system integrations, including EDI, APIs and data exchange processes
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex cross-system issues
+ Understanding of logistics operations and the associated data flows within supply chain environments
+ Experience collaborating with business users, IT teams and external vendors
+ Ability to document requirements, processes, test scenarios and system specifications in a structured manner
+ Ideally, experience with Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint Online or integration platforms such as Lobster or MuleSoft
